Bio: Jennifer Mitton paints in order to capture the essential gesture of er figures and landscapes. She trained in classical ateliers in France and the US. Closer to home she completed art, writing and design degrees at UBC and Emily Carr.
She does her "scales" in the morning at Basic Inquiry Life Drawing Studio. It's a meditative practice and keeps her observant of the way things are so that she can then go on to use her imagination with complete freedom. In the afternoon she paints at her new Parker Street studio. Her passions are people, people doing things, and emotionally rich landscapes. http://www.jennifermitton.ca
